After graduating from ALBA (Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts) in 1994, Marcelle Asmar first cultivated a rigorous attention to form, material, and craftsmanship. Her early career in jewelry design led to the founding of Mac Design in 2003.

In recent years, her exploration of clay has emerged as a natural extension of this practice. Through MA Ceramics, Marcelle creates hand-formed pieces that respond intuitively to touch, gesture, and the material’s inherent qualities. Guided by a dialogue with the natural world, her ceramics inhabit a space between function and reflection. Vessels, sculptural forms, and objects are conceived to be both used and contemplated, inviting the viewer to engage with them over time. Surface, color, and form are orchestrated to evoke presence, vitality, and quiet emotion. Whether in metal or clay, her work seeks to create enduring, grounded objects that resonate with subtle narrative and formal clarity, pieces that reveal themselves gradually, forming an intimate connection with those who encounter them.
