Born in 1960, Karin Timmermans spent her first 25 years in the Netherlands. Her marriage to a Lebanese partner took her to various cities, including Khartoum, Beirut, Brabant, Lisbon, and Nice. The exposure to different cultures, norms, and values transformed her perspective on life and sparked her curiosity. Her time in the South of France introduced her to the world of art. She began modeling clay at the Centre International des Beaux Arts in le Bar-sur-Loup and at the EMAP (École Municipale des Beaux Arts de Nice). At La Villa Thiole, she learned sketching, drawing nudes, and painting. Additionally, she trained at ESMOD Beirut, where she acquired skills in creating fashion collections.
