Janine is a German Lebanese artist. She holds a M.A. in social science and another M.A. in sustainable development. In her non artistic career Janine works with NGOs in Lebanon. Simultaneously Janine follows her livelong passion for painting and has been taking classes from various artists in the US, Australia and in Germany.

Janine captures the fundamental nature of flowers, landscapes, people, and animals; stylizes them, and makes them her own. She is using vivid colours, disorganized elements and various techniques. Her paintings are full of energy and she often experiments with colour combinations that are usually not associated with the nature of the elements she pictures. Janine works with Acrylic paint on canvas and wood.

She likes to view her paintings as an imaginary place you can escape too; and indeed the many details of her paintings lend themselves to the feeling to be lost within beautiful places.
