Nadine Sidani is a Lebanese painter and illustrator who studied Fine Arts at the Lebanese American University. She debuted as a painter, then moved into children’s book illustration, earning a strong reputation for her distinctive collage style and winning Arab and international awards for numerous books.
Her love of painting never faded, and now she’s taking a new step in her painting career, carrying forward the visual language she developed while illustrating.
“My art is the mirror of my feelings, reflecting the unconscious on any surface. I paint bold characters living in strong colors, holding dualities that represent strength and weakness, analysis and intuition, beauty and darkness, with hidden messages that each viewer might recognize as a piece of their own inner mix.”
