Wassila M. Taha is a multidisciplinary visual artist working across acrylic, mixed media, and fiber art. Her practice is rooted in storytelling, translating fragments of real-life experiences into visual narratives that capture fleeting moments preserved through memory. Through her work, Taha transforms personal and emotional encounters into layered compositions that invite viewers into intimate, reflective spaces.

Born in Jeddah, Taha pursued her artistic education in Lebanon, earning a BA in Fine Arts from the Lebanese American University (2013), a Master’s degree in Plastic Arts from the Lebanese University (2020), and a Teaching Diploma in Arts from Beirut University (2021).

Taha’s work centers on figurative art, where she intentionally moves away from the perfection of realism, embracing abstraction through expressive faces and forms. She is particularly drawn to maximalist aesthetics, integrating bold visual elements and rich material layering. Currently expanding her practice through textile design, she incorporates fiber as both a conceptual and tactile extension of her artistic language.

A defining characteristic of Taha’s work is her distinctive use of black and white in dialogue with vibrant color palettes. This contrast has become her signature visual identity, symbolizing balance between clarity and complexity, presence and memory.
