Of Lebanese origin, Michèle Sayegh Naja, born in 1969, holds a doctorate in French literature.
A high school and university teacher, she has long contributed to promoting the French language in the Middle East, notably by writing several school textbooks.
In 2023, she published her first novel, Juste retenir la vie, and is currently writing her second, En allant chez la couturière. Alongside writing, she continues to paint, a practice she considers an alternative form of writing, where brushes and colors replace words.
From literature to painting, she is now exploring a new theme: the gentle process of healing, creating a poetic homage to mending and repair.
Since 2024, she has collaborated with Artists of Beirut, exhibiting at Arthaus Beirut and internationally at Menart fair Paris 2025
